A record of John and Gen on the Coast to Coast walk in England during May 2011 and then walking the Camino Portugués to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
The Coast to Coast walk goes from St Bees to Robin Hood's Bay, a distance of approximately 300km (190 miles). The route crosses the Lakes District, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors.
On the Camino Portugués we walk some 232km from Oporto in Portugal to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

Canals
Manchester has many canals and canal boats - very picturesque. Walked all over town to see the sites, including the Ryland library, the Museum of Science and Technology, a war museum and (from a distance) Old Trafford stadium.
Oh! I do love canals. Maybe that's because we grew up in Elwood.
